Hungarian naive exhibition in Pärnu
Welcome to the opening of the Hungarian naive exhibition
at Uue Kunsti Muuseum (Esplanaadi 10, Pärnu)
on Thursday, 19 January 2012 at 2pm

This exhibition was first introduced to Estonia in Kondase Keskus, Viljandi and was compiled by the Naive Museum in Kecskmét especially for Estonia. Now you have chance to see it in Pärnu.
All the artist you see have taught themselves to paint, including the wonderful András Süli (1896-1969) who is concidered to be one of the best. He started painting in 1933 but when he didn´t succeed, destroyed most of the paintings. In 1969 his works were sent to Bratislava to take part of the international naive exhibition the first time and only about 30 of his masterpieces have been recovered.
