Welcome to the opening of „My nest is my home" by Rita Koralevics

Rita Koralevics (1979) is a young talented artist from Hungary. In 2008 she was given a national Derkovits scholarship which is given to young artists. Her works have been nominated as "The Graphics of the Year", also in 2008. She´s had several exhibitions in Europe and elsewhere.

With her art she is telling us her story, what she has been through and how she has managed it. It´s about family, home, love, memories. Her roots are in the past as she is seeking herself in the future.

Important in her works is the empty backround which has a cleansing effect and makes one focus on the details. The contrast of black and white serves the same purpose.
